- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)homes all milk is covered.
There are still two forges which are very useful in this district owned by Mr. Wm. Mac Menamain of Sallyhook and Mr. John Flood of Pluck, horses are shoed and farm implements sharpened and repaired.
They also make iron gates and shoe cart wheels.
The burning of lime is still carried on in the locality at Mr Gallagher of Ardagh, Mr Hunters of Grawkey, and Mr Wm Doherty's of Lisclamerty and also at Mr John Pattersons farm at Labadish. These kill owners get contract from the Department of Agriculture to supply the local farmers with lime for use on their lands and office houses.
Farmers get the lime much cheaper at the rate of 14/: per ton instead of 26/: which they would otherwise have to pay.- Bailitheoir
