(1) When the seagulls flock to land it is the sign of a coming storm.
(2) When the old people say their limbs are burning it is the sign of a storm.
When there is a redness at the sunrise this is the sign of rain.
When the new moon is on one end it is the sign of rain.
If there is a ring round the moon it is the sign of a storm.
When the stars are shooting it is the sign of frost.
If the clouds are black and the day very hot it is the sign of thunder.
A rainbow in the morning is a sign of a storm and a rainbow at night is a good sign.
The west winds bring the most rain.
If the swallows fly low it is the sign of rain.
If a cat is washing her face and goes behind her ears it is the sign of rain, or if she is sitting with her back to the fire this is also the sign of rain.
If outlying cattle flock to shelter it is the sign of a storm.
If a donkey brays, it is the sign of rain.
