  2. Once upon a time there lived a woman and a man. They were misers. When people came to work they did not get enough to eat.
    About this time there was a rich man. He was not like the man and woman because he gave poor people money and everyone loved him because he was so kind. His name was Paddy Gallagher.
    The woman and the man kept their money under the floor. Every night they would get up to count the money.
    Paddy said he would give ten pounds to the person that could play a trick on the man and woman.
