- There was an old forge about three hundred yards from Kinelargy School. Rabbin Anderson was the blacksmith's name.
People who wanted horse shoes gathered all the old iron they could get about and took it to the forge. The smith put it in the fire and when it was red, he took it out and hammered it up and made horse shoes.
He even had to make the nails and he charged twenty pence for the set.
When the work of the fields was done the men would take off the horses' shoes and keep them until the following year.
All the old men would go to hear the smith telling stories.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
