Ar an leathanach seo
- The animals which we have at home are cows, horses, ducks, hens, geese and turkeys.
The names of our cows are, Swan, Polly, Pearly, Dinah, Daisy, and Biddie. They are tied with chains. The chains are bought in the shop. Some people hang a horse shoe or something in the byre to bring luck on the cows. Because in olden times the witches came and stole the butter. Then the people that lost the butter were told if they got up very early and did the churning they would have butter. But when they got up and before they started to churn, they had to put something in all the holes, because the witches took the butter would be standing outside the door.
