“Once upon a time the fairies stole a woman's baby and left another one in its place.”
Once upon a time the fairies stole a woman's baby and left another one in its place. It got so heavy that she could not work with it and it kept crying all the time. She took it to the priest and another woman had to help her with it. They had a distance of two mile to go. The priest told her it was only a lump of a stick and to throw it into the first water hole she would meet and she would get her own baby back again. He told her she would lose something else but so valuable. She got back her own baby. The next day one of her best calves ran away to the place where she threw the baby.- Bailitheoir
