- A land mouse boiled & and the soup used either in tea or baked in bread, has been known to cure (weak kidneys)
A grown up servant boy who was a great nuisance to the house was cured in this way.
The lady boiled the mouse (land mouse) & put a little sugar in it & and baked it into bread, then gave it to the boy & cured him.
