One time soldiers came to the land looking for Our Lord and they came through a field of wheat. The wheat was sown the day before but Our Lord had passed that way and the wheat sprung up in a night. The soldiers asked the robin if he had seen any man passing that way lately. The robin said that no man had passed that way since the wheat was sown. The soldiers were about to turn when the wren said that the wheat was sown yesterday. The soldiers turned again and caught Our Lord. From that time the wren is supposed to be the devil's bird.- Bailitheoir
