  1. In our house here in Linsfort is a pair of prayer beads which were made or in use in the year 1817 or about thirty years before the famine. There are 36 small beads on a cord and 4 big ones. There is a cross on them which is made of wood and the image of our Lord is carved on it. Also is the date 1817 cut out on the back of it. The beads belonged to my great grandfather.
