- In our District farmers plough their ground in the month of January in preparation for the corn crop.
Some farmers when they are plowing trench the ground every ten furs and the clay is thrown out on the ground that is ploughed.
The clay deepens the ground.
When the farmers have the land ploughed for the corn they get three harrows and a foot tree and two horses and harrows the ground two times before they sow the corn.
Then the corn is sowed.
It is harrowed three or four times again.
This is done to cover the corn.
About two weeks after it is sowed the corn comes through the dark earth.
About the month of May the corn is rolled with a roller.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
