- There are two holy wells in the Parish of Iskaheen, Muff, Co. Donegal, the eye well and the head well, The eye well is in the glen in Miss Mary Mc Colgan's farm, and the head well is in a field on the same farm. The head well that is in Miss Mary Mc Colgan's field was blessed by Father Mc Laughlin a most pious priest who was in Iskaheen Parish about ninety years ago and the eye well was bleesed by a holy Father in a mission that was in Iskaheen about the same time. The people visit them when they have a pain and they say prayers. It is known that people have gone to the eye well nearly blind and returned almost cured. The head well is higly recommended for a sore head. The invalids drink the water, and rub it on the sore part. The people leave some relics at the well(continues on next page)
