   This is a standard remedy for rheumatism that has been popular for generations.
   Put half a pint of household ammonia and half a pint of turpentine into a quart bottle. Beat up two new laid eggs and crush their shells finely, add to the contents of the bottle, and finally put in a gill of vinegar. Do not cork or the bottle will burst, but leave till the next day, by which time the fumes will have dispersed, and the cork may be put in, but do not tie it down.
   You will soon find every trace of the egg shells will have disappeared, and
