- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Outside these ruins the people used to be buried and inside they are all grown with grass and brambles. The Binion graveyard slopes north west and the Straid one slopes north east.
The latter graveyard is supposed to be raised considerably above the sea level and it is wholly vaulted underneath.
Many tall trees are growing round these graveyards and brambles are seen weaving in and out through the tall trees. In the Straid graveyard many old tombs are to be seen but many of them are unhewn and uninscribed.
For the past twenty five years no one has been buried in any of these graveyards. In the grave yard in Binion it is supposed that St Patrick's sister is buried, and that she was once Rev. Mother in the Convent at Binion. It is said that when pigs go into this field they do not muddle the soil but smell it and come out again. In the Straid graveyard there is a stone with the prints of knees and it is said that one day Colmcille was praying on this stone and he prayed so hard that his knees sunk in the stone and the tracks are to be seen to the present day.
