A careless step I onward took along a purling rill.
It was there I spied that comely maid come running down the hill.
The glances of this lovely maid were lovely to beholdFor her hair hangs over her shoulders like lovely links of gold.

Her voice was so melodious like her sweet meody
She really stole the heart from me and would not let it go
And here she left me in grief and woe around Sweet Binion Bay.

Not to conclude and finish, I mean to stop my pen
I do not mean to break any maid or any single man.
But here's a toast to those thats gone unto America
And leave their friends to mourn for them around Sweet Binion Bay - Come all you sacred nurses likewise my little hill
I hope you will admire me and assist my splendid quill
Now I'm going to change my home unto the land thats free
I bid good bye to all my friends likewise old Tanderagee(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
