- Bird Lore
There are not many wild birds around this district. The crow is one of these wild birds. The crow does not migrate. The crow builds his nest on the very top of a high tree. I do not know how many eggs they lay. There are no weather signs about the crow. There are many old stories about the crow. Here is one of them
One day a young boy was going home from school when he saw a crow with a square piece of paper in its mouth. The boy took it into his head to follow the bird. The bird flew for a half mile and then a lighted on a tree and walked up to his nest and got into his nest The boy climbed up the tree until he was up at his nest. The crow went to pick at his hand, but he got his hand into the nest(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
