There are Protestants living near this well and one day they tried to boil the water and it was down all day but it would not boil. - There are a lot of Holy Wells in Ireland but the one I know best is Chickenswell. It is in the parish of Coalagh, Killimore. It was closed in but is burst out again in a tree. People visit it in the month of May to do the stations.
There are fourteen flags of stone around this well in which the stations are done. It is said that this water would not boil.
There is another in Kilreekle by the name of Hallowie-well. People visit it on the fifteenth of August.- Collector
