    with the "lios". Nor is it legendary by any means, but really authentic.
    About a hundred years ago, there lived on this farm a rich lady- the noble heiress to this farm. She was the sole survivor of a rich family and never married. She lived alone at the remote end of the farm-adjacent to Cairamanagh (Ceatrúmaodhanach) of Shrule (sruthán) or "sruthile villages.
    In those days, robbers were much in evidence and always seemed to be on the alert for monied folk. This old lady as already stated lived at the far end of the farm and there was no dwelling house within a half-mile of her abode.
    She had a steward named Marlyn, who always slept in the house and one night at about midnight, this man was in a sound sleep, when the lady of the house knocked at his bedroom door and informed
