ploughing in the "lios" field, and after starting to work, he was astounded to see a friend of his, who was years dead appear to him. The ghost admonished him and advised him to desist until 7 or 8 o'clock. (he was there at 5 oc)
He did as directed, went home and had a couple of hours sleep. He then went back to the field and to his surprise, he found half the field had been ploughed in his absence. He yoked his horses, and began to work and did a normal day's work.
Some weeks later, he happened to be looking for a cow that had strayed from him during his absence at a fair in Dunmore. He couldnt find her, and it was after midnight, when having searched all the other fields in vain, he summed up a bit of courage, and repaired alone to the fort field.
