- In the year 1839 there was a big storm in Ireland. It was the bigest and strongest storm that ever came before. It was blowing very strong for one day and one night. The people called it the night of the big wind. It knocked houses and trees all over the country. There was a man in Kilgevrin at that time. He had a small house. There were no one living only himself and his mother. His mother was old and feable. The wind began to blow the tatch of the house. The man thought it would knock the house. He began to bring out the things that was in the house. He brought out his mother he tied her to a tree. He went in to bring more things. When he came out he could not see his mother or the tree. He never seen his or heard anything about her untill the day she died.There was another big storm in the year 1845. It was(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
