- (continued from previous page)November's Night - The old people had strange customs on November's Night. The young people would go out throwing heads of cabbage at doors. They would also have a great feast that night and they would have a cake with a ring in it. Then whoever would get the ring would be supposed to get married sometime during the year following. It was also thought that if you would go to the well at midnight you would see the person that you were to marry down in it.
Christmass Night - Christmass Night was a night of great enjoyment long ago. All the members of the family would try and be present for that night for the family supper. The animals were supposed to talk that night also.- Collector
