- There are many old marriage customs about this locality. Many people in this locality would not get married in any time of the year but "Shrove time". During shrove many matches are made. First they visit the brides house and a certain night is appointed for the marriage supper. As the bride enters the room for supper an eaten cake is broken on her head. The money is then counted and given to the bridegroom. Then the marriage is arranged. On the day of the marriage all the farmers goes to the chapel on horse= back the bride and bride= groom after goes on horse. =back. After the marrige people throw rice on the married.
