When he was gone Jack went into the house and after a while he said the sheet was soiled. The queen told him to take it away and get a clean one but of course Jack did not return. The King was now very angry so he sent out notices to all people rich and poor to come to a feast he had prepared. There was a rule made that the first man who entered the room was to be branded on the forehead. Jack was the first to enter and when he got branded he knew he was captured. he found the paint that was used for the banding, left the room and branded every one he met as was done to himself.
The King now sent out word that whoever would bring him the seven year old pig's head and the sheep's heads with the knowledge of how they got them would(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
