- 1. There are different sorts of churns used around here. One sort of a churn is the dash churn. People use this churn very much around here.
2. It takes my mother half-an-hour to churn, we churn once a week in winter and twice a week in the summer. We have a churn with a handle on one side and when you twist the handle it twists a beater inside.
3. Bhurning is a very useful thing because without churning we cannot have butter and without butter we cannot live. People shake hold water on the churn before they begin churning.
4. If people had not much cream they would not bother with a churn. They would put it in a bottle and keep shaking the bottle till it would be churned. The bottle should no be too filled as there must be places for air.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
