- Funny StoriesOne day an Acrobat went to Confession to a clergyman. The clergyman asked him what profession he belong to. "An acrobat, your reverence" said he. "ah", said the clergyman. I don't understand the meaning of that". "Very well" said the acrobat, "I'll soon tell you the meaning". He came out of the Confessional and went up the chapel tumbling on his head, hands and feet going, and doing all sorts of funny things. "now do you understand the meaning of it"? says he to the Clergyman. After a few minutes an old woman went in to get Confession, and when the priest was giving her penance she said "For God's sake father, do not give me the same penance as you gave the man before me I can't do it".Annie Killackey, Lispheasty, Eyrecourt.

- There was a boy one time and he was very stupid. He was so stupid that he couldn't be taught the Lord's Prayer. The Clergyman couldn't teach him either. The little boy could remember everything they told him but the Lord's Prayer. At last the Clergyman thought of a plan. He got a crowd of goats and wrote "Our Father" on one. "Who art in Heaven" on another and "Hallowed by thy name" on another, and so on until he had the Lord's Prayer(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
