    The land was owned by Lord French and he got the land drained beside the Blessed well and dried the well, and the water sprang up in a big Ash tree beside the well. It is well known to be never without water in that tree. The people come from miles around to perform there from the 1st of May to the end of May every year. There are five stations around the well, two are very remarkable. One stone has the track of two knees and the other the track of arms in it. It is well known that people get cured of different diseases there. The priests say that it was St. Brendan that came across the country and in every place he rested miracles were worked.
    There is another Blessed well with a Killahaune beside it in Mullagh called Holly (Holy) well, another branch of St. Brendan's. It is said he stayed one night at Holly well and came across the country to Chichen's well and then on to Branswell in Limehill where people perform from 1st to end of July; and in all these places the people finished their stations at the
