- A Tailor never lived in this place, but there was one dwelling around the place going from house to house tailoring for the people. He had no home and his name was Michil O Burca. He used to have a journeyman going around with him as he had bad sight and the Journeyman used to thread the needle. He was a very good man for making a suit of clothes. He would have a suit made in one day and only charge five shillings for making it. He had an old house down in Caheratrim where he used to sleep but it was very seldom because it was a very bad house. This house was situated about two miles north east of the Sonnagh school. The old man who told this said while he used to be making the clothes they used to be in fits of laughing with all the old stories he had about Ancient Ireland. It was not long until this tailor died and another tailor then came named Dick Lawless. He had no home at all, but one day he made a little hut down in the lower end of the mountain called Beagley’s Riasg, but very seldom he lived there. One night he was going home to his little hut but it was knocked by cattle. Then he came up to Sonnagh again and got lodgings from the McLoughlins. He was a very good tailor but he did not live long.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
