    The other families have caravans drawn by horses, and some of them fix camps for themselves at night. They stay about a week in one place, usually at a cross-roads or in some sheltery place. The alms they accept is food and clothing. They buy or beg the food they carry with them.
    Large bands come for a fair-day or a sports or races day. The Sweeneys always have been the news-bearers. If a person in the district had friends anywhere through the Province he would get full particulars of them from the Sweeneys.
