the bride and bridegroom were on horseback and when they left the church a race was sure to take place.
The bride and bridegroom were supposed to kneel on the door step until the old people broke an oat-meal cake over their heads. A wedding feast is held in the house that the married couple are to live in.
Mummers visit the house nowadays in some places. They dance in order to get drink. Others visit the house for fun. They dress in old clothes, some wear masks and more paint their faces.
After a month the married couple visit the girls house and the girl remains for a few days.
