- Ben-bo, got it name because in olden times the women who lived in the Valley used herd their cows on that mountain . Stira-bout bray got its name because in the year of the famine the potato crop failed and they people had no food to eat. There was boy who used to go to Dromshair for meal. When he came home it was boiled in a large pot an the women used serve it round to the people.
Lug- an- wage got its name because there was a little pond of water in the middle of the field.
Fawn-Line got its name because it runs through the town-land of Fawn.
Cornalaughta got its name because long ago there was battles fought there and they buried the dead in those fields. The piled a great heap of stones over their graves.
Eagles-rock got its name because it was on that rock which the eagle lit with Donellys child.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
