Ar an leathanach seo

  1. "The Dead Man's Point" is a narrow piece of land which stretches far out in the lake. It is also the nearest piece of land to Inch Island.
It got this name because it was from this point the corpse used to leave going out to the island.
On a few occasions a storm arose and the corpse could not be brought out so it was buried on the point. The graves are visible still.
This piece of land belongs to M. Bernard Early, Eden, Dowra, Co. Leitrim.
The point is in the townland of Kilgarriff.

Note: Inch Island or Inishmagrath is a small island in the north end of Lough Allen.
