    runs thus.
    A gentleman by the name of Captain OReilly lived at Keonbrook Kilclare Co. Leitrim. Others say it was General Pottinger lived there at the time.
    The gentleman wanted a message sent to Dublin on Monday and wanted a reply early on Thursday following, or [?] the Wednesday following. No man could do it with post horses.
    Seimin came on the seen that day when he heard it. He was then "on his keeping" around Kilclare. Early Monday he stood on the lawn before Keonbrook house, and sent in word to the gentleman that he would do his message.
    "Alright" said the General.
    "Do you want any travelling expenses"
    "No" said Seimin.
    "Here's a sovereign" said the General. and Seimin started off to walk.
    "Where's your horse" said the General.
    "It's alright" said Seimin "I'll get him on the way".
    The next evening (Tuesday) the general looked out and saw Seimin on the lawn. "My God" said he "that
