were kind to him and its often they gave him food and lodging.
This day the priest hunters were on his track. He made for Peytons and was hidden. There was an old woman lying on the bed taking a rest when the priest hunters came. The other members said that the priest was not there but the priest hunters refused to believe and said they'd search.
The old woman in bed heard this and managed to get out on the window and to give word to Father Cassidy to fly. He left and lay in a drain down of the lake. The place was searched and baffled they had to go. When gone Father Cassidy came up to Peytons and got the hospitality of the house.
The White Boys did not forget this and other good deeds. That's why the Peytons are popular to this day in Ballinaglera and the only protestant family in their parish.
