- A neighbour of ours told me a story. One night he dreamt of three stones standing on edge and a sod between each stone. He went to the spot next day, and could find nothing but a number of clogs. People say that if he threw a grain of earth on the clogs they would turn into gold. Not long afterwards he was cutting turf, and he found a wooden jar. It had two handles and one part of it flat. He sent it to the Museum in Dublin and got back two pounds fourteen for it. About a year after he was ploughing in the garden. He found a piece of gold, he sent it away and got back twelve shillings.
