- There were three poets in this district formerly. They were - Cairn Timothy Mc Govern, and Pat O Donnell.
It is not know, when exactley did Cairn live, but it is believed that it was about a hundred years ago. He made a song when he was leaving Kilcara to settle down in Moynsha. In the song he said that he would rather spend one hour in Kilcara than three years in Stile-a'-baincigearna.
