    paid him a yearly fee.
    Another blacksmith but less famous is Pat McDonagh of Killascobe. His father John McDonagh had his forge on top of the hill and for generations was private smith to the Browne's of Carnacregg house.
    The Dollys of Killaclogher about six miles away were the smiths who worked for the Garbally half parish. For generations they followed the trade and the present smith is Peter Dolly son of Johnny Dolly.
    Loftus of Lower Windfield is about the oldest generation of carpenters in this place. They can be traced back to four generations.
