  1. Not very far from my house is a big stone on which Mass was said in the Penal Days. It was situated on the top on Mong Hill and it rolled down to the bottom of it, where it is still to be seen.

  3. In Curryeolais, in a field near Mr Hunt's house, there is a stone on which Mass was said, and a tree beside it known as the "Mass Tree" which marks the spot.
