    Lough Rynn's wooded shore.

About a few yards from the school there lived about forty years ago a boy named Bernard McGinty. He was working in a shop in Mohill and he was about eighteen years old. One Sunday he was bathing in Rynn Lake and he was drowned. A person near Mohill composed the following song about this event.
    Song
    Lough Rynn's Wooded Shore.
T'was flowery June some years ago.
    We met companions gay
Through hill and dale and shady vale we carelessly did stray,
T'was to famed Lough Rynn we onward went
    Where Birdies song did pour,
Where a mansions stands so fair and grand,
    In Lough Rynn's Wooded Shore.
    II
We took a seat, we looked around,
Each heart being light and gay
We viewed the trees that were in bloom
    Like flowers all in May.
We watched the boatmen on the deep.
    We heard the waters roar,
Each lovely scene was quite serene,
