Charles Bohan, Farma and auctioneer, now living in Annaughbrennan, told me that when he was ab oy he saw hundreds of bones and skulls dug up in a field where he then lived in Cornulla, parish of Cloone. The old people said there was battle fought there in olden times, and the people when he was a boy used to call the field "Killala" after the battle of Killala
