    round it three times saying One Uor Father and three hail Marys each time, and every time you go round it take three drops of the water out of the well and drink it. People always bring home some of the water. It is lucky to bring it home.
    There is a story told about this well. On one occasion there was a fair in the town of Ballinamore, and there were men coming home from it and they were drunk. A short distanc from this well they started to fight. One of the men got a cut nose and he was brought to the well to wash it, so the next day the well was changed to another field.
