   The pot was sitting all alone
   He heard the flesh fork making moan.
   He at the fire shovel made a dart
   And called on the kettle to take his part

   Ah! says the Kettle Ive no call.
   I dont belong to the Kitchen at all.
   Sure I'm in the parlour night and day
   You dirty set ye fight away.

   The Dripping Jan came tumbling down
   And Like an officer marched all round.
   He met with the Broom and gave him a thrust
   Says it was you that began the Battle first -

   The coal box then came in so stout
   And at gave the flesh fork an awful clout
   Saying you dabbling thief Ill be your end
   For you have Killed my worthy friend.

   But to their surprise in walks the clock
   The Chief Commander of the Troups
   She commanded general peace
   And ordered them all to their own places
