- The festival of Hallowe'en falls on the last day of October. It is and was a custom to eat nuts, apples and pudding on that night.Many games are played. Apples are put in a basin of water. Children duck for them and whoever gets one keeps it. This game is not as easy as one would think. An apple is hung upon a ceiling and who ever bites it the most times keeps it.
