  1. One of the gratest and bravest men of the present generation is the late J. P. O Sullivan of Firies. He was the champion of Kerry. He was also a great weight thrower he cast a 56 lb weight 25 feet from where he stood.
    The gratest runner of our generation was "Welch" of Tralee. He travelled all over Kerry to the different sporthsfields. Where he defeated many who ran against him. He won many silver medals. He won the name of Welch the champion of Kerry.
