  2. Marriage Customs

    In olden times marriage customs were different to what they are now. When the match was made and the wedding day appointed both parties were to meet at the bride's house.
    Common cars and saddle horses were the chief converyance those years. There would be about thirty saddle horses. The saddle horses should head the wedding The bridegroom and bride came second and lastly came the common cars.
    About a mile from the house they would have a race and then the best horse would be known.
