Ar an leathanach seo
- Probably one of the first built in Ireland (one in grave-yard). It was taken over by Protestants in the time of the Reformation and was converted into a Protestant Church until a new one was built. It was afterwards used as a burial ground for the Gunn family. It was repaired by Mr. Wilson Gunn.
BOTHAR na LEABHAR runs from Derrico Church to Rattoo and on to Ardfert through Causeway. The monks used to read their office there. Others say it was the "road of the cripples", as these latter came to a holy well in Rattoo to be cured. The new Abbey is more modern in style than the old one. Crowmwell's son-in-law was in charge of operations and the monks fled and took the precious bell and silver which was lost when their boat was capsized crossing the River Brick and the bell is supposed to be heard faintly tolling on fine summer evenings. The abbey was ransacked at the time and put into the present state of dilapidation. The Lord Abbot had a seat in the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
