    down to eat. The little red dog came as before & asked him for some of the cake. Like the first he said it was little enough for himself. Then he asked him what he was going to make & he said mockingly also "a basket" "Well" said the little dog, "a basket you'll make & a basket you'll have." He, too, returned after a week with nothing but a basket.
    Now the third son said he'd try his luck, but he, unlike his brothers, chose the small cake and his mother's blessing. He set off & at mid-day arrived at the same well. He sat down & was just about to eat when the little red dog came up to him & asked him for some of his cake. "Ara, musha, sit down & you can have half of it."
    Before the little red dog sat down to eat, he went over to the well, twisted his tail in it & immediately it turned into wine. They then sat down &
