- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)now at any hour day or night & nobody will interfere with you. Next morning he set out again on his journey & arrived at nightfall at a house convenient to a graveyard. He told the man of the house his errand as he did to the other man on the previous night.
"You have not very far to go" said the man of the house, "for anyone who passes the graveyard after nightfall is beaten and battered".
When midnight came he took his fire with him & went into the graveyard. He was not long there when he saw the flag stone of a grave stirring & then rising. Up came three men out of the grave. They smashed & battered one another up & down the graveyard - hitting their shins & toes against the stones. "Well, God help ye," said the traveller, "aren't ye the foolish fellows to be smashing yere shins like that or what is wrong with ye at all."
