- There is a holy well in Achonry called Tobar Finneen. The people go to it on the 15th, August.
There is a big stone over the well. The people who go there take a drink out of the well. The people bring a bottle of water and it never goes soft.
There is another well in Dromard and there is an Ash tree growing over it, and the water goes up into the tree. There is a rock beside it and it cures the pain in the back.
There is a well in Cuughill and some person washed clothes in it and it dried up and there was no other well around. So they sent for the person and he came and started reading over the well and no water came to it. Then the priest was sent for and he came and started reading and throwing in holy water and there came water to it
