- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)cured the cattle. All the people of Britain heard ofthis great doctor and they sent for her. In a few weeks all the sick animals in the country were cured. An old man was eating his dinner one day and a bone stuck in his throat. No doctor in the country could cure him. He sent for the widow to Ireland. The widow went as far as this man, said the rhyme into his ear and him the stuff that she gave the animals. The man said "shaugh haugh" and he coughed out the bone. That man gave the widow one thousand pounds for curing him.The old woman came back to her house and built a fine castle. She and her children lived happily ever afterwards. The little red man was never seen by the widow again.
