- There was an Irish man over in England. They called him "Irish Paddy".
He was lodging in a big house. He was a half a fool. One morning the misses sent him out to the milk man for a pint of milk. He never went to the milk man for the milk. He made a mistake.
He went into a draper's shop for a pint of milk. A clerk saw him at the door and he asked "Irish Paddy" what he wanted. He said he wanted a pint of milk. The clerk said that he was not selling by the pint at all but by the yard.
Irish Paddy said it was all right. The clerk spread the milk along the top to the counter.
"Paper it up now" "Irish Paddy" said to the clerk, and he was not able to do it. The Irish man went away laughing.- Bailitheoir
