A drudge boat owned by Mr Best was blown to the long banks at Rosses Point. The Sligo Harbour flats, and lighters were all broken against a wall.Big logs of pitch pine were seen floating on the water. An old man named Daniel Flanagan stayed in his house, and it full of water because of a purse he had. A man risked his live to save him.
